What: Volunteer Build Day for Community Garden Improvements
Where: Happen Outside - 1617 Hoffner Street - Northside
When: Saturday 10/13/2018 9:00 am volunteer start
Activities: Paver placement in Activity Area and Comfort Station, Comfort Station Screening (post, fencing, etc.), and additional garden improvements. Click Concept Plans button below for plan details.
Meeting / Lunch: We will have a short meeting at 12:30 on site. A grill out lunch will be provided on site as well.
What to Bring: Work gloves and eye protection.
We also need the following (let us know if you can help out): wheelbarrows, flat shovels, levels, tape measures, hammers, and brooms.
Bi-Weekly Garden Technical Team Meetings - Tuesday Evenings (time and location varies): Progress sketches of gardens attached. Concentrating on a living wall fence and ADA accessible beds at the Do Goods Garden and improvements for a seating area and comfort station at the Happen Outside Garden. Weekly Garden and Make It Space Coordination Calls - at noon on Friday's: CGet and provide update on volunteer activities, program coordination, etc. with the technical teams as well as the volunteers at all of the Happen spaces. Kroger Cards - Community Rewards Program
Don't forget to support us by linking your Kroger card to our chapter at no cost to you! The Community Reward Program expires on April 30th every year. Check the bottom of a recent Kroger receipt. Does it say, "At your request, Kroger is donating to Engineers Without Borders"? If so, thank you! If not, please follow the simple instructions we've posted here.
