2024 Implementation Trip

A 10,000L masonry tank was constructed in early 2024 to serve as storage for the ~800 students, as well as to gather water for distribution to other villages downhill. The tank has two inlets - one from an existing pipeline in the area called the Gitega pipeline, and one from our new distribution pipeline installed the following year in 2025. The Gitega pipeline is not reliable and will be supplemented with new water sources.
